One thing I know for sure is that nothing is for sure, and to deal with the challenges of life you must build that mental toughness muscle. You see life never gets easier my dear you just get stronger. The issue lies when we do not realize truly how strong we are. This has a direct impact on how we face “fear of the unknown.”
I want you to think for a minute. Sit somewhere quiet, close your eyes, and just think.
What I want you to focus on is all of your past experiences up until this point in your life. Mainly the ones where it required great persistence or faith for you to get through. Once you pinpoint some experiences think of all the emotions you felt. Were you…
If any of these feelings above have affected you that is OK. I want you to channel some emotion for this exercise.
Now that we have discovered an experience or group of experiences with unpleasant emotions think of yourself now. Each of these experiences you have been able to get through. Regardless of what you had to endure you made it out on the other side or you wouldn’t be here today…right?
When you focus on this it gives you confidence in your ability to handle whatever challenges are waiting for you in your future.
Because there will ALWAYS BE CHALLENGES!
So let’s talk about some of the ways we as women can continue to face the future with fearless confidence!

If you have a fear of the unknown it means you’re not living in a state of the present.
I think Ekhart Tolle said it best…
Wherever you are, be there totally.
Today is important Lady! You cannot spend it thinking about things that haven’t happened or may not even happen. As humans, we are always trying to goal chase, and we’re always thinking about the next steps of life (which is a good thing!) but some times we must stop and smell the roses!
appreciate today for the beauty that is in it. Tomorrow is not promised so it is important to be grateful for today. When you spend time worrying about the future it creates stress and robs you of the precious moments of right now.

Faith is the antidote for fear of the unknown.
Faith and fear cannot co-exist. Now you can rationalize it any way you’d like in your mind but the truth is you can’t have one and the other. You cannot believe something, and not believe it at the same time.
Faith and fear are actually very similar in the sense that they are both a strong belief in something. So if you have to believe something why not choose to believe in something that will benefit you?
Instead of feeling the impending doom of the future why don’t you try to think thoughts in the expectancy that your future is great. Start speaking things into existence, and rely heavily on your faith and higher power.
Life is too short to believe things will not work out. Believe they will and you are halfway there.
Always think about what you have to gain instead of what you have to lose.
I know I know this one is easier said than done, but it really is true! No matter what you are facing things are always working out for your good!
Life is always in motion. Unlike what most of us think it’s not like challenges happen, and life stops. Life is always flowing and changing. Even though sometimes it may seem hard there is always something to be learned from every pitfall to life.
Many times when we are up against adversity our mind is at its sharpest. The decisions we make in those moments are actually the framework for what’s to come in our life.
Even though you may have bumps and bruises from life really throwing it at you I promise you will always come out better than you were before.
So any time you are faced with a life-changing challenge smile because you know that better things are yet to come.
Strong women know they have two choices when it comes to fear of the unknown.
Yep you have one of two choices…
- Keep going
I vote the latter. No matter what we are dealing with the show is still going on. If you continue to move forward despite what is happening in your life eventually the tide will turn in your favor.
Nothing stays the same forever. So remember whenever you are facing tough times that eventually things will change for the good, and you will come out stronger than you were before.
It’s not about what happens to you. It’s about what you do about what happens to you, that makes the difference.Jim Rohn
Strong women know that nothing is for certain!
I’m not quite sure where we got this understanding that things are for certain in life?
We don’t go for our dreams because it’s scary and we may lose our safe secure job. We don’t take the risks we know we need to in life because we might lose what we currently have.
All of this is a bunch of bologna!
Nothing is for certain. Things can change in an instant. It is important to understand that life is filled with uncertainty. We must not hold on to those things that are fleeting.
Now I’m not saying quit your job today. What I am saying is that you must always be looking for ways to grow yourself personally, and not DEPEND on something someone else offers you as your security.
Lady, you are stronger than you even know! No matter what you are up against or what is in your future you can get through ANYTHING! Keep believing in your strength, and keep the faith. The best is yet to come.
