Live long enough, and life will surely teach you some things. There are so many different phases to life, and sometimes it can seem that things are unpredictable and out of control. However, the truth is life is always uncertain no matter what stage your in. The ups and downs of life will teach you that everything is temporary. It is more important to learn to cope with the changes or life than to fight them. Change is inevitable, and if you become a woman of strength you won’t have any problems when those tough times arise. Although, to become strong during tough times you must learn strategies to get through them. Here’s how to cope when life seems uncertain.
So what does uncertainty really mean?
Now I know this one may seem like a no brainer but let’s dig a little deeper into the actual meaning of uncertainty. According to the dictionary uncertainty means living in a state of doubt. So maybe something has taken place in your life and you are doubtful of the outcome, or things working out in your favor?
One of the main things to understand here is that YES there are times when certain situations do not turn out the way in which we had hoped…
It is a sigh of relief to know that one specific occurrence does not change the trajectory of our life. Heck, a string of bad occurrences doesn’t change it! This doesn’t mean that we don’t feel pain from what has occurred. It is the knowledge that things happen exactly how they are supposed to.
You see while we may focus on a few things we are dealing with on a daily basis, the universe is always working on many things. Many times certain things must take place in order for other things to transpire.
Our best defense against this is to learn certain strategies to become strong, and confident. We have the ability to handle any situation that presents itself to us. Even though it may seem tough we must always have faith that things are working for our good. This all starts with the right mindset.
Why your mindset is your first form of defense against life’s uncertainties.
It’s like a broken record I know. You hear it over and over again by so many gurus, and people claiming to have the keys to success. The reason why you hear it so much is that unfortunately we already know the importance of a strong mindset but don’t take the time to really tap into it.
Everything starts in the mind. The outfit you are wearing, the car you drive, the job you have. It all came about from a thought you hold or once held. This also includes the thoughts you think about the events taking place in your life. Once you start to do some serious mindset shifts everything will change for you. This is why you hear it over and OVER again. I will also be the first to say if you are hearing it a lot it is life nudging you to change something.
How can a strong mindset teach you how to cope with uncertainty?
A strong mindset is like armor. it is something that is available to you each and every day at no cost. If it’s programmed right you will gain strength knowing you may not be in control of circumstances but you ARE in control of how you react to them. As the old saying goes…

Things are going to happen in life, and you must learn not to crumble every time they do. Life is about learning to dance in the rain. Bad times are par for the course. Life is about how to anticipate valleys, but have a belief in yourself that no matter what you will be okay. The certainty that you will make it through is predictable. Up until this point you have gotten through every situation good or bad in life. This one will be no different. Sure you may come out with bumps and bruises but the lessons learned are worth the ride.

Strategies for how to cope with uncertainties of life.
Now don’t put the cart before the horse! While the strategies below are great to use, they must not be done BEFORE your mindset is right. Here is an example of what I mean.
Say you are trying to lose weight. You KNOW that you must eat healthily and exercise to do so. These are the strategies you will implement to reach your weight loss goal. Unfortunately, if you don’t have the right mindset going in which includes consistency, persistence, discipline you won’t make it. Same goes here…Ok I digress.
One of the BEST ways to cope with uncertainty is being mindful of the present. Today is the only day you actually have. While it is smart to think about and even plan your future you don’t really know you’ll get there. Worrying about tomorrow’s problems takes peace away from today. Today is a gift, and you must treat it as such. Life is much easier when you take things one day at a time. So today notice your breathing, hear the birds chirp. Today be enamored with the beauty around you already.
Girl, you are NOT in control of everything that happens in your life. While things that are out of your control can be a bummer you must know that everything is working in your favor. You can spend thousands of hours in a state of worry & fear and get absolutely nowhere…so why even bother? Sometimes it’s just the way we’re wired. We think if we obsess over something long enough eventually it will just disappear, and be all better.

While you may be dealing with some unfortunate things someone somewhere always has it worse. At times you must be thankful for the problems you don’t have. Many of believe that we truly are grateful for what we have but are you really?
Being grateful is not just material possessions. gratitude consists of the things we overlook like our hands to type, and our eyes to read this! It is important to take a grateful approach for everything in life from the sugar in your coffee to the cream in your tea. begin the habit of going into each day with a grateful heart. 4.) Positive deposits daily
Yep! You read that right. Deposit positivity, inspiration, empowerment, and hope on a daily basis. “Good stuff in means good stuff out.” You must fill your mind consistently with the good stuff. One important lesson I have learned is that if you don’t fill your mind with the good stuff, the not so good stuff will take over. Don’t live on autopilot. Every day listen to something motivating, read a positive story, or be a Level up Lady for daily empowerment, and inspiration.
So let’s recap this whole “how to cope” thing.
So you’ve learned some great strategies on how to cope, and hey you may even have some of your own. But knowing these strategies is not enough you must implement them to see success. Just envision yourself a strong woman who lives life with no fear, and is not afraid of what comes her way because…
