Whew, Hunny… Like Most of us, I have been THROUGH it! I’m sure you have too, and if I would have taken the time back then to really LEARN the lesson Life was teaching me I wouldn’t have to find out some things the hard way but the truth is this Life will show you things over and over until you GET IT.
Sometimes if you keep ignoring the signs it will hit you in the head like a ton of bricks! LOL but these things are meant to steer you on the right path for your life. They are meant to show you things like How to treat others, the secrets to success, what matters most in life…you get the point.
As I reflected on these things (and there are MORE than 5! but I didn’t want to ramble on LOL) I figured I would compile them into the important ones. The ones I feel that would be most helpful to you on your journey in life. Now you may be aware of some of them, and that’s GREAT! But if not, hopefully, I can ease some of the heartaches before it happens.

1.) The Day You Plant the Seed is NOT the Day You Eat the Fruit. Trust the Timing of Your Life.
If I would have realized this many years ago, I probably would have been the world’s most successful blogger at 18! I mean REALLY! We live in a culture of everything must be RIGHT NOW and for some things you can have it right now.
- Want to heat up food in 60 secs? Use a microwave
- Want to buy that dress you can’t afford? Use a credit card
- Want a car you can’t pay cash for? Get a loan
- Want to get that education now to get a job so you can pay it later? Get a Student Loan
- Need a toilet paper delivered to you in an hour? Order Amazon
You get the point. All these things which are great conveniences in life have changed our MINDSET to have a fear of missing out, or if things don’t happen fast enough that means they will never happen. If we are told no once that means no always. These things simply are not true.
What I learned is that sowing and reaping is just a part of life. Farmers plant seed and harvest in the due season. Not sometimes but always.
If we trust that this will be the same for us in our endeavors, we will gain the patience to wait until the time is RIGHT to reap our blessings. Just because you don’t get immediate RETURN doesn’t mean you will never get a RETURN.
I don’t know how many times I quit before the blessing in my younger days, and then I realized that that is not how life works, and anything worth having takes time and hard work.
Now I know what your thinking.. “there are some folks who seem to have overnight success!” and yes that can SEEM true, but the reality is you don’t know how they paid for that success in the past or what seeds they sowed to achieve that. Eventually, the GOOD seeds you plant will show up as success in some point in life.
The Good Seeds I am referring to are.
- Hard work
And MANY MORE
2.) Life is Cyclical Just Like the Seasons.
Think about it! You have times where there is nothing really happening, and then times when so much GOOD stuff is happening. Times where you have some great days, and times when you have some not so good days. You have times when it seems BORING and you feel that nothing is happening
What I have learned is that something is ALWAYS happening. This is one of the greatest mysteries…that when we think nothing is happening stuff is HAPPENING. So, you must TRUST that life is always moving, no matter if you think it is or not.
3.) Karma is REAL.
I learned this back when I was a teen. At the time I was in high school had a boyfriend that I wanted to break up with BUT I did it the mean way I just avoided him hoping he would go away.
He called me numerous times and even stopped by my house but I refused to tell him and just didn’t speak with him until he finally gave up and stop contacting me.
I was relieved, and for many years never thought anything of it.
UNTIL ONE DAY…….
About 3 years later it was a freezing winter day. The streets were covered in snow and my car was broken down at the gas station.
Guess who showed up and he saw me pushing my car to move it out the way??
You know what he did to help?
He smiled and drove away in HIS functioning car (like he should have)
I never tested Karma’s vengeance again! LOL
4.) You get what you GIVE, EARN, or WORK FOR.
Not what you deserve, think about, or dream about…Simple as THAT.
5.) Don’t Make Choices Based on Advice from People that Don’t Have to Deal With the Consequences.
You ever hear things like…
- You should have another baby! (you changing the diapers?)
- You should go to school for this (you paying the loans?)
- You should get that car (you making the payment?)
You get the point but you MUST live your life for YOU! Welp, I hope this has shed some light on life’s teachings..Until next time.
So Many Blessings,
