There are few things more empowering than a woman in heels who leads the pack! I just LOVE to see it. There are so many things to be said about a woman in leadership IF she goes about it the right way. We are in a society dominated by the male in the corner office. Anytime we see a woman holding her own, it is enough to bring chills down our spine! She has somehow beat the odds and is an inspiration to so many. This is exactly why we need female leaders. To show us that it can be done. To have a model to go by, and an actual person that we can say “made it.” This is encouraging to know if she did it so can you.
Let’s dig deeper into all of the things this woman brings to the table in and out of the office.
An example to go by is a major reason why we need female leaders.
It is super important to note that leadership roles are not JUST the top executive positions. There are many ways a woman is a leader and many admirable traits that she possesses. Women are jacks of all trades, and can do it all! We do not give ourselves enough credit for all of the things we do day in and day out things like…
- Being a Mom
- Having a career
- Keeping a household
- Being a wife
- Managing finances
I could go on and on but I’m sure you get the point. All of the things that a woman in leadership does not only inspire us but sets an example. More women leaders = more up and coming women leaders.
We are a product of what we see or have seen in our life. If you grew up around strong women leaders you are more likely to be influenced by that. Hence why we need MORE women in leadership roles that are confident and take charge.
And if you are in a leadership position yourself remember that others are watching YOUR example. You take a part in the trajectory of someone else life.

Female leaders show us certain qualities needed for success.
As the old saying goes…”Success leaves clues.” and when you see a woman holding her own, and WINNING there are often certain qualities that she possesses. It’s not tough to figure out what they are if you are open to observing her. Once you are able to pinpoint those qualities…follow suit!
The female leader is…
- A great listener
- A great communicator
- Team player
- Calm under pressure
- Not driven by ego
Of course, she also has many more qualities but these are some vital ones. Not only has she learned these qualities from experience and others she has invested in herself!
Which brings me to my next point…
Investing in yourself is SO important because women who do so go further. it amazes me how people will not think about spending a couple of hundred bucks on the next Michael Kors bag, but will not put a dime into themselves.
So invest in you! Find where you can sharpen the skills you need to achieve the success you want, and don’t be afraid to spend some money doing it. Your future self will thank you! Here are some ways you can invest in yourself.
- Coaching calls
- Motivational speakers
A female voice is a BIG reason why we need female leaders.
I mean really? Who is going to speak up for us if there aren’t ANY female leaders?! Women have a unique point of view that needs to be heard. This world is made up of more than just men so without that voice all of the things that women want are not going to be entertained.
If you were blessed to grow up with a Mom and a Dad you know that there are always two points of view. Not saying that Dad’s words aren’t worthy but Mom has some viable points too that need room to be discussed.
Women think differently, and many times have amazing solutions to difficult problems. However, they must be in positions of leadership in order to express them to the right people.
Speaking lateral isn’t enough you must have women in leadership whose words move vertically. Whose solutions and suggestions move up to the ears of those who can do things about them.
More female leaders means a closer pay gap.
Yep, we all know the truth about women in leadership and the PAY they receive. Now not always but more times than not we are duped out of the equal pay for the same positions.
Want to know HOW to solve this problem?
The more women leaders we have in the office the more streamlined the pay becomes. I mean think about it if you have an office of 100 executives with 80 % of them being women there will be no choice but to have equal pay. If for some reason this isn’t the case you will have enough women who can voice their opinion to change it.
This is a cool article about the gender pay gap as of the year 2020. We are making some progress but still not where we need to be.
However, the more female leaders we can get the less of a problem this will be.
Women striving for leadership positions need female mentors.
You will never understand the power of mentorship until you find a good mentor. A mentor is basically someone that shows you the ropes and leads by example. They are people that are confident enough in their abilities to not let ego keep them from showing you how to become successful too!
It’s truly a shame how many times I have witnessed women in the workplace hoard their knowledge for the sake of keeping their job. Ladies leadership is not about creating more followers it’s about creating more leaders. You do this by not being afraid to share the qualities, and skills needed to achieve success.
True leaders not only want to win, but they also want to see others win. In my opinion, this is being a true Level up Lady! There is enough room at the top for us all. When you dedicate yourself to also helping others achieve more than the benefits are not only for the receiver but also for you!
There are few things less rewarding than seeing someone achieve success and growth. When you know you played a role in this it will make you super happy and grateful.
So don’t worry about how someone else success will dim your light. Your light will always shine no matter what because you are in the business of lifting others up! When you do things with the right intentions and motivation the universe has no choice but to bless you MORE.
This is a WIN WIN.
Behind every great success story is a female leading the pack!
C’mon! We all know it’s the truth! I can’t think of a success story without some sort of influence from a woman. Women have a wonderful knack for being the glue behind scenes. Solving problems, putting out fires, being resourceful all these skills that lead to success.
Now while we don’t always get the credit truth be told that behind something magnificent there is always a woman in the mix…somewhere!
This makes us invaluable in life! Nobody can replace the influence of a woman!
Women in leadership dream BIG & open doors for other women.
True female leaders are always looking for ways to make MORE opportunities for other women trying to get their foot in the door. Women who have a strong voice are able to come up with solutions that help other women trying to succeed.
When we think about how many women are going into the workforce each day they need opportunities to excel. Even if they have an entrepreneurial mindset they need women who have paved the way to create an opportunity or idea.
Think of Mary Kay Ash. She has given millions of women over the years an opportunity to have freedom while doing something they love. Making women look and feel beautiful. She dreamed BIG and created an opportunity to excel and to take other women with her. This is an amazing feat filled with selflessness. Not only did she do it when she was alive, her legacy still lives on today in her absence.
We can always appreciate someone else looking out for their interests as well as the interests of others. It is impactful and inspiring.
